“War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.” ― George Orwell, 1984

George Orwell’s vision of Hell on Earth was a totalitarian government mandating irrationality—insanity, really. As a fan of logic, I have to admit I find it pretty terrifying myself.

We aren’t quite to the point of the government brainwashing people to think 2+2=5, but it’s definitely not far off the way things are going.

Tacking on to Orwell’s dystopic slogan is Men are women. Killing humans is healthcare.

The COVID pandemic was full of people in power pushing the illogical.

America’s Illogician Dr. Anthony Fauci was perhaps the worst. Initially he said that masks don’t work, then he said masks work and that people should double mask whenever you’re around people. Of course, he failed to do what he recommended immediately afterward. Then he said he previously lied about masks not working because he didn’t want health care professionals to run out of masks. In leaked emails, it appears that Fauci maintained that masks don’t work. Still, he pushed the new lie that contradicted the old lie in the face of mounting scientific data and common sense to the contrary.

For a while, I didn’t understand why people would do this. What’s the point of the bald face lies? It just makes them look like clowns. But, eventually, I understood that if these people somehow got you to believe something in contradiction to common sense and to your own sense perception, they could make you believe anything. And if they get you to believe anything, they can to do anything.
